The exhibition Ndiakhass involves artists based in Dakar, Senegal, and Oslo, with both global and locally based practices. This collaboration address how references, situation and cultural background influence both perspective and expression.
Author Yacouba Cisse leads a conversation with participating artists Ibrahima Thiam (Dakar), Fatim Soumaré (Dakar), Torunn Skjelland (Oslo), and Samba Fall (Oslo) on topics of global stories and perspectives, identities, language, and southern narratives, and asks what if the global did not exist but the local?
The conversation will be conducted in english.

Exhibition: Ndiakhass
Ndiakhass means patchwork in Wolof, and is a technique used to create festive attire in West Africa. It's a hybrid of tradition and modernity, where each piece has its own uniqueness, but together they form something new.
Intercultural Museum
The Intercultural Museum is located on the former premises of the old Grønland police station. Today, the former cells are used as unique exhibition spaces.
